You're not alone! Pet photos often become some of our favorite memories, but they can also be some of the hardest to scrapbook. That's exactly why this week's Sketch Sunday is all about creating a simple, versatile layout that's perfect for documenting your furry family members.
In my latest YouTube video, I take a one-page scrapbook sketch from 101 Scrapbooking Ideas & Sketches and transform it into an easy double-page scrapbook layout using the retired Creative Memories Puppy Love Theme Pack.
Even if you don't own this collection, don't worry! The techniques I share work with any scrapbook paper collection you already have.
Why This Layout Works So Well
One of my favorite things about scrapbook sketches is that they provide a starting point—not a set of rules.
Instead of copying the sketch exactly, I show you how to:
Convert a one-page sketch into a two-page layout
Add room for more photos
Incorporate border punches for extra interest
Use cardstock to stretch patterned paper
Adapt older Creative Memories collections into fresh new layouts
Create balanced pages without overcomplicating the design

Don't Let Older Scrapbook Collections Collect Dust
One of the best parts of this project is using a retired Creative Memories collection.
Many of us have papers, stickers, and embellishments tucked away that we haven't touched in years. Instead of letting them sit on a shelf, this layout is a great reminder that older collections can become beautiful new scrapbook pages.
If you don't have the Puppy Love Theme Pack, simply substitute:
Neutral cardstock
Your favorite border punch
The sketch works beautifully with almost any theme.
