Sketch Sunday | Project Recipe #46 with Coastal Shore Paper Pack | Creative Memories Scrapbooking

Scrap Your Beach Memories with Coastal Shore

Welcome back to The Scrapping Studio! I’m Tracy Walker, a Creative Memories Advisor based in Des Moines, Iowa and today we’re diving into another Sketch Sunday episode that blends a little creativity with a lot of coastal charm.

This week, I’m working with Project Recipe #46 (you’ll find it on page 96 of the 52 Project Recipes book). Originally, this design was created with the Out of This World collection. But in true stash-busting spirit, I decided to give it a nautical twist using leftover pieces from the Coastal Shore collection.

If you’ve got odds and ends lying around from previous paper packs, this is the perfect way to stretch your supplies and still create a full 12x12 layout that shines!

What You’ll Learn in This Tutorial

In this process video, I’ll show you how to:

  • Adapt a layout with scraps and sticker leftovers – no need for a full pack to make a beautiful page.

  • Work around short paper pieces to create seamless 12x12 backgrounds.

  • Layer borders with the Fishnet Border Maker Cartridge for that “beachy net” effect.

  • Mix and match mats, stickers, and journaling cards for a true coastal vibe.

  • Add texture and contrast to make your page pop.

Bonus Tip: Watch how I turn little “mistakes” into creative solutions—because let’s be real, that’s what scrapbooking is all about. Perfectly imperfect memories captured beautifully.

Why You’ll Love This Layout

Whether you’re scrapbooking beach trips, coastal getaways, or ocean memories, this design gives you plenty of space for photos while keeping the theme light and fun. Plus, you’ll gain fresh inspiration for using up scraps that might otherwise sit forgotten in your stash.

Supplies I Used

  • Coastal Shore Paper Pack & Stickers

  • Fishnet Border Maker Cartridge

  • Creative Memories 52 Project Recipes Book
